100% NL DJs Giorgio Hokstam and Ingrid Jansen have lined up some notable replacements for their morning show on 100% NL while they’re on vacation. None other than Wietze de Jager will be trading tropical Bonaire for the 100% NL radio studio during the summer break to host the station’s morning show alongside his friend and sidekick Chris Bergström. The start date will be announced later.
Giorgio Hokstam and Ingrid Jansen are thrilled with their summer radio buddies. Hokstam: “Who better to host a summer show than someone who lives in the tropics and also has a ton of radio experience?” Jansen adds: “We can leave our listeners in the capable hands of these two with complete peace of mind, because when it comes to creating a fun atmosphere, they’ve got it down pat.”
Wietze de Jager is looking forward to the job: “My love for radio has never faded, of course, so this is the best summer job in the Netherlands. It’ll take some getting used to being back in the radio studio, but for this summer, I’m happy to get out of bed early to start the day with the listeners of 100% NL.” Bergström: “With lots of Dutch music and a focus on the whole family, 100% NL is a perfect fit for us and the stage of life we’re in. It’ll be a fun reunion with Wietze on national radio. It’s really cool that we get to keep Giorgio & Ingrid’s spot warm for a while!”
Wietze de Jager (37) began his career in national radio at Qmusic, where he hosted the successful morning show “Mattie & Wietze,” among other programs. Starting in 2018, he joined Radio 538, where he produced various shows alongside Chris Bergström as his sidekick. He also hosted “The 538 Morning Show” there until 2023, when he decided to change course and move to Bonaire with his family. De Jager is married to Lieke de Jager-Veld, and together they have a daughter and three sons.
Chris Bergström (39) developed into a successful podcast creator alongside his role as producer and sidekick. For instance, he hosted “Man man man, the podcast,” which took him to sold-out theaters across the country and was also turned into a book. The final episode of this award-winning podcast was recorded late last year at a sold-out Ziggo Dome. These days, he hosts the daily morning podcast “Hagelslag” and the podcast “Kinderachtig,” which he creates with his girlfriend Charlot Dorland. Together, they have a daughter.
Giorgio & Ingrid can be heard every weekday between 6:00 and 10:00 a.m. on 100% NL. The schedule for Wietze & Chris will be announced at a later date.
