Our organisation

Media House: in a nutshell

Mediahuis is all about an unconditional belief in independent journalism and the impact of stories. We believe in the power of échte people and échte stories. We bring stories and people together – with influential media brands, a deep knowledge of our audience and a strong foundation in the Dutch media landscape. We do this throughout the Netherlands, and therefore also around your corner.  Our roots go back to 2013, when Mediahuis came into being as a collaboration between Corelio and Concentra in Belgiumë. In 2015, we expanded our operations into the Netherlands with the acquisition of NRC Media, followed by Mediagroep Limburg in 2017, with De Limburger as our main title. In the same year, Telegraaf Media Group became part of the group. In 2020, we strengthened our position in the Northern Netherlands with the acquisition of NDC Media Group, publisher of Dagblad van het Noorden and Leeuwarder Courant, among others.    From 2025, Mediahuis Netherlands, Mediahuis Noord and Mediahuis Limburg will join forces to form ééone strong and united Mediahuis. Our national titles, including De Telegraaf, VROUW, Privé, NSMBL and Dumpert, are an indispensable part of our broad media landscape. In addition, our regional brands, such as De Limburger, Noordhollands Dagblad, Haarlems Dagblad, Leeuwarder Courant, Dagblad van het Noorden and our news and weekly newspapers, play a crucial role in their regions.  Thanks to this broad mix of national, regional and local journalism, Mediahuis reaches millions of people every day. What binds us together? Enduring relationships. With our audience, with advertisers and with the more than 1,500 employees who work every day to tell stories that matter.  Together we are building a future in which independent journalism remains central.
