Mediahuis Nederland is part of a European media group with companies and operations in Belgium, the Netherlands, Ireland, Germany, and Luxembourg. Together, we believe it is important to work toward sustainability and make a positive contribution to society. We’d like to share with you how we do that.

A Green Future

Our green transition is a mission for all of us. By 2050, we aim to be a climate-neutral organization. To achieve this, our net CO2 emissions must reach zero in the printing and distribution of our newspapers, in our offices, and in the area of mobility. To fulfill our green promises, we have committed to setting science-based climate targets, known as Science Based Targets. You can read more about this on our group’s website.

Journalism that matters

Mediahuis believes in independent journalism and strong, relevant media that make a positive contribution to our society. That is at the heart of what we do, and our journalism provides millions of people with information, insight, and inspiration. Now more than ever, independent journalism and diverse reporting are essential. That is why we have become a co-founder of the Pluralis investment fund. This fund aims to help safeguard independent journalism and diverse reporting in European countries where this is not always a given.
