De Telegraaf reaches more readers thanks to digital edition
The latest publication by NMO NPMM 2024 III once again demonstrates that De Telegraaf has an impressive reach, both in print, online, and with its digital replica. Currently, 10 percent of readers read the digital version of the paper newspaper. The number of readers of the digital replica is expected to increase in the future. In addition, De Telegraaf attracts 5.2 million readers per month via its website and app. The brand reaches more than 6.4 million Dutch people.
Truly nationwide coverage
Although De Telegraaf has traditionally been strongly rooted in Amsterdam and is particularly popular in North Holland, the brand has been firmly positioned throughout the Netherlands for decades. De Telegraaf is the most widely read newspaper in no fewer than 10 of the 12 provinces, which underlines the broad appeal of the brand. The newspaper is not only a familiar sight in the Randstad, but has also gained a prominent place in other regions of the Netherlands over many years, emphasizing the national character of the brand.
Indispensable for advertisers
The rise of the digital newspaper is only part of De Telegraaf's success story. It is the combination of all channels – from the printed newspaper, the digital replica and the websites, to apps, YouTube and smart TV – that makes the brand an indispensable medium for advertisers. This multimedia presence makes De Telegraaf an important player in the Dutch media landscape and ensures that the brand can deliver the right message at the right time to a large and varied audience.
Boaz Shkolnik, B2B director at Mediahuis Nederland: “De Telegraaf is the flagship of our organization. The brand has broad appeal: from young to old, men and women, from city to village, and from practically educated to business decision-makers. This diversity makes De Telegraaf indispensable for advertisers.”
