De Limburger presents: Crime Night at Film Fest Vaes
presentator Bas van Mulken ging met misdaadverslaggever Bas Dingemanse en ex-gevangene Wilfred Kols in gesprek over hun persoonlijke ervaringen en de ontwikkeling van grensoverschrijdende criminaliteit.

Recently, the estate of Kasteel Vaeshartelt formed the setting for Crime Night, an evening centred around journalistic depth and audience interaction. Led by presenter Bas van Mulken, crime reporter Bas Dingemanse and former prisoner Wilfred Kols discussed their personal experiences and the development of cross-border crime.

Thanks to the use of a catchbox, visitors were able to actively take part in the conversation. Questions were asked from the audience, creating a lively exchange of perspectives and experiences. The evening concluded with the film Van God Los, which aligned closely with the theme of the event.

Among those present were listeners of the crime podcast De Onderwereld, readers of De Limburger, and interested attendees who were encountering the subject or speakers for the first time. Crime Night showed how a shared interest in journalism and crime can bring different groups of people together for an evening of depth and conversation.
