Snelle will perform the music from his new album live for the first time on Friday 29 May on 100% NL. He will do this with an intimate performance for listeners during the morning show of Giorgio Hokstam and Ingrid Jansen. The Dutch singer and rapper will release his album ‘Binnenspiegel’ that day. For this reason, 100% NL listeners have the chance to attend the exclusive performance and be the first to hear a selection of the new album live.
Where Snelle normally performs for thousands of people in sold-out venues, this time only ten 100% NL listeners will be standing literally in the front row. The performance will take place on Friday 29 May in the morning in an intimate concert space, right in front of the station’s studio in Amsterdam.
Morning show DJs Giorgio Hokstam and Ingrid Jansen spoke to the artist this morning in their show about his new album, and asked him what he can already reveal. Snelle: “More than ever, I’ve let go of the idea that it has to be one sound. I like rapping, I like singing, I like guitar, but also electronic music. From small piano songs to literally drum and bass: it really goes in all directions. I think that’s very cool.”
Snelle indicates that he is very much looking forward to releasing the album, but also to performing it live for the first time. “We’re going to play a number of songs at 100% NL, in a way you really only hear with you. I know you don’t do these kinds of performances often and I think it’s a really cool stunt. I’m very honoured to be able to do this,” says Snelle.
Listeners will have the chance in the coming days to attend Snelle’s performance by sending ‘gastenlijst’ via the 100% NL app. By doing so, they nominate themselves for a place on the list, together with a plus one.
