A dream comes true for listener Jeroen (46) from Almere. On Friday 18 September, he will present Ekdom in de Morgen on Radio Veronica. Gerard Ekdom announced this on Friday morning during the final, in which four listeners competed for Ekdom’s place behind the microphone.
During the broadcast, listener Jeroen reacted enthusiastically to his win: “I need a moment to take this in. How amazing, thank you!” He thanked the listeners for their votes and then wanted to know one thing from Ekdom: “I have one very important question: do I get your parking space as well?” Sidekick Max Schuiling immediately joined in, saying that Jeroen would also get Ekdom’s car. “There’ll be a meeting about that next week,” Ekdom replied.
Jeroen will present the morning show from 06.00 on Friday 18 September and will also kick off the final day of the Radio Veronica Top 3000.

The four remaining candidates were all present in the Radio Veronica studio today during Ekdom in de Morgen. During the broadcast, they each had the opportunity to demonstrate their presenting talent and convince both Gerard Ekdom and the listeners with a pitch that they deserved his place behind the microphone. Ultimately, the listeners had the final say: thanks to their votes, Jeroen was named the winner.
Over the past few weeks, Radio Veronica listeners were able to take part in the promotion by voting for their favourite songs for the Top 3000. From all participants, four finalists were selected: Abel (16) from Eerbeek, Britt (55) from Noordwijk, Dione (21) from Barneveld and Jeroen (46) from Almere.
Ekdom in de Morgen can be heard every weekday from 06.00 to 10.00 on Radio Veronica.
