From Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20, the (S)Top 520 can be heard on Radio Veronica. With this list Radio Veronica, together with War Child, draws attention to the 520 million children worldwide who grow up with war or violence. Listeners and Dutch celebrities compiled the list last week via the website, app and live at Utrecht Central Station during Radio Veronica’s ‘not-far-from-your-bed’show.
Last week listeners could submit songs from which they derive love, hope and strength. Dutch celebrities such as Katja Schuurman, Trijntje Oosterhuis and the band Chef’Special also joined us in bed at Utrecht Centraal to co-host and contribute a song that symbolizes ééone million children growing up with war. BN’ers who could not be physically present could be heard live in the broadcast. In total, more than 30 Dutch celebrities and artists contributed a song for the list.

said Ekdom.
One special request came from four-year-old Sophia, who bravely stepped behind the Radio Veronica microphone at Utrecht Centraal to suggest the song ‘Oya Lélé’ by K3, because she says it ‘makes her ‘so happy’. The song ranks 383 on the list.
