Radio DJ Lisanne Bronkhorst returns after her maternity leave with a new programme on Radio Veronica. She announced this on Wednesday morning during a FaceTime conversation with Gerard Ekdom on ‘Ekdom In De Morgen’. From 11 July, the new mother will present the morning show on the station every Saturday and Sunday from 07.00 to 10.00.
"I am expecting again," joked Bronkhorst, who recently gave birth to her first son Benjamin. "A new radio programme," she quickly added. "I’m really looking forward to it, I’m a bit done with the baby bubble. I’m ready for something new and I’m going to do that at the weekend. I’m going to take over your morning hours," she said to Ekdom. "I’m looking forward to celebrating the weekend with lots of love and fun!" Ekdom responded: "Lisanne, it’s great to have you back on the station, and at such a wonderful time slot. See you soon!"
With her new programme, Bronkhorst swaps her weekday slot from 04.00 to 06.00 for a prominent weekend position. She succeeds Ferry Oomen, who has exchanged his programme for a role as a regular stand-in at Radio Veronica.
During the conversation with Gerard Ekdom, Bronkhorst said that, after being absent for several months due to her pregnancy and the birth of her son Benjamin, she is looking forward to returning behind the microphone.
Lisanne Bronkhorst can be heard on Radio Veronica every Saturday and Sunday between 07.00 and 10.00 from 11 July onwards.
