Max Hochstenbach named YIM Talent of the Year at AMMA Awards
Max Hochstenbach, Concept Developer & Designer at MHX – Mediahuis' creative studio – was awarded the title of YIM Talent of the Year at the prestigious AMMA Awards ceremony. The award is intended for young professionals between the ages of 18 and 30 with up to three years of experience in the media, and is considered an important springboard for new talent in the industry.
Just over a year ago, Max made the switch to the media world, an industry he knew little about at the time. He has since made an impression with his fresh perspective, creative approach, and unique conceptual ideas. During the final assignment of the YIM Talent Award, a pitch in which participants had to develop a complete media plan and concept in just 2.5 hours, Max stood out for his original and daring approach.
“A year ago, I knew next to nothing about the media world, and now I've won an AMMA. Wow! But for me, the real reward is everything I've learned and the inspiring people I've met. This industry really feels like a warm bath—and I love bathing, right down to my grandma's feet,” says Max Hochstenbach.
The jury praised Max for his unique skill set and the way in which, despite his limited experience, he already has a clear voice and signature style. His story, drive, and reflection on the field underscore the potential of a new generation of media makers.
Elzemieke Olsthoorn, Director of MarCom & Creativity at Mediahuis, adds: “Max joined us as a creative talent, but he quickly proved to be a strategic asset for MHX. The YIM award is well deserved, and I am incredibly proud that we have this talent in our team.”
