SLAM! DJs broadcast morning show live from small car and launch new radio game

Radio station SLAM! is launching a unique new radio game: the Parking Lottery. Listeners can win €10,000 tax-free by parking their car in a parking space and leaving it there. To launch the game, morning show DJs Anoûl Hendriks and Marijn Oosterveen broadcast their program live on Monday morning from a small car they parked on the work floor. The Parking Lottery starts a week later, on November 10.

On Monday, November 10, at 9:00 a.m., SLAM! will open a special parking lot just outside Amsterdam with twenty-five parking spaces. From that moment on, listeners can claim a spot with their car and must then remain there until the lottery draw on Thursday, November 13, between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. One of the twenty-five spots is worth €10,000 tax-free. A draw will determine the winner. The other participants will receive a year of free roadside assistance from Wegenwacht. SLAM! will be reporting from the parking lot at Expo Greater Amsterdam throughout the week. On Thursday, November 13, the radio station will be broadcasting live from the location all day long.

Rules

First come, first served. Once there, all players have to do is stay in their parking spot. There are a few rules: the car may not leave the spot and the occupants may leave the parking spot for a maximum of one hour per day, for example to use the restroom. All occupants must also stay until the end. Participating with several people is more fun, but also an extra challenge. Anyone who does not follow the rules will be disqualified. The spot will then be made available to another player.

The SLAM! Parking Lottery is made possible in part by Wegenwacht, the ANWB's roadside assistance service. The radio game was created in collaboration with MHX and StudioM, part of WPP Media, and is part of a larger campaign by Wegenwacht.
