Rob van Someren has just kicked off Somertijd on 100% NL. In his first on-air chat, he took the time to thank listeners for the warm welcome. Somertijd can now be heard every weekday between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM.
Rob van Someren said: “I want to thank the listeners of 100% NL for the kind messages you’ve sent us. Many things will stay the same, and some things we’ve tweaked a little. But we’re definitely going to do our absolute best to entertain you in the afternoons!”
The radio DJ announced in July that he would be moving to 100% NL to continue hosting his afternoon show, Somertijd, during the weekdays. Rob is bringing his team along with him, including sidekicks and producers Sven van Veen and Lex Landeweerd, and newsreader Chantal Quak. The familiar characters voiced by impressionist Dingetje are also making the move.
Since starting his career at Radio Decibel in 1980, Rob van Someren has become a key figure in Dutch radio. He has worked at Radio 10, 3FM, and Radio Veronica, among others. With his show Somertijd, which has been on air since 1992, he has won the Gouden RadioRing for Best Programme twice and has also been named Best Presenter twice. Somertijd has long been one of the most listened-to programmes on Dutch radio.
