Radio station 100% NL has come of age. 8 July 2006 marked the first broadcast of the station, which thus celebrates its 18th anniversary today. ‘From both artists and listeners I am always told that they immediately feel at home with us,’ said DJ Barry Paf.
Founder and director Herbert Visser: ‘What started after a justly won legal battle has grown into an incredibly strong radio brand. After 18 years, 100% NL could not have been in better shape than it is today. I am very proud that we have always fought with fire and passion for the goal of offering people the most Dutch-oriented programming in the radio landscape.’
Barry Paf, DJ at 100% NL: ‘What the European Championship is doing at the moment, music does all year round: it evokes emotion and it connects. Our radio station has now been doing that for 18 years and I can say wholeheartedly that I am very happy and proud to be part of that. I am always told by both artists and listeners that they immediately feel at home with us and that is the biggest compliment you can get as a DJ.’

100% NL reaches 1.7 million listeners every week, under the motto of ‘100% NL makes your day!’ Listeners tune in for the morning show with Giorgio Hokstam & Ingrid Jansen, the afternoon show with Barry Paf and others like DJs Erik van Roekel, Collin Banks and Koen Hansen. On Friday, the station plays the best sing-alongs during ‘Meezing Vrijdag’ and on Saturday afternoon the 100%NL Top 20 can be heard. In the radio game ‘Je Raadt Het Nooit’, listeners have to guess the connection between three Dutch celebrities and the station always hosts many Dutch artists. The station is also characterised by hit lists such as the ‘Vorstelijke 500’, the ‘Oranje Top 500’ and the ‘Meezing Top 1000’.
