BBC Studios, producer and global distributor of innovative and high-quality audio content from the BBC, has partnered with leading audio company Audiohuis to represent BBC podcasts in the advertising market in the Netherlands.
Audiohuis is part of Mediahuis, a leading publisher with a portfolio of more than 30 news brands in four countries. As an all-in-one audio agency, Audiohuis specializes in selling advertising for a large number of independent podcast creators and publishers, as well as producing and distributing podcasts. Audiohuis also creates branded podcasts for brands looking to tell their story powerfully and impactfully through audio.
The BBC is one of the largest producers of audio content in the world, with a wide range of premium podcasts popular among Dutch listeners. Examples include Global News Podcast, F1: Chequered Flag, You’re Dead to Me and the British Podcast Awards’ gold-winning series Good Bad Billionaire. Last year, BBC Studios established a dedicated audio division to further exploit its commercial opportunities in the global audio market.
Louise la Grange, SVP BBC Audio, Digital News and Streaming at BBC Studios, said:
“We are delighted to launch this partnership with Audiohuis to represent BBC podcasts in the Dutch advertising market. Given the huge growth in popularity of podcasts in the Netherlands in recent years, and the fact that we have now built a large and loyal listening audience, we are excited about the opportunity to introduce new advertisers to our high-quality audio catalog, including World of Secrets, Football Daily and You’re Dead to Me. For brands looking to reach the best of BBC’s target audience, we now offer even more opportunities to integrate BBC podcasts into campaigns within BBC Studios’ broader portfolio.”
Edwin Koeners, Sales & Business Development Manager at Audiohuis, adds:
“At Audiohuis, we are proud to partner with BBC Studios, a global icon in premium audio journalism and storytelling. BBC offers an impressive catalog of premium podcasts that have built a loyal listening audience in the Netherlands. This collaboration allows us, as well as our partner Talpa Media, to connect advertisers with one of the strongest podcast portfolios in the world. We look forward to helping brands tell their stories in a high-quality, trusted and impactful audio environment.”
